Hearthstone fans will likely be wondering what the next expansion is and when it’s expected to hit PC and mobile, as it gives you all a chance to grab a series of new cards or try out different game modes.
Hearthstone has been going strong as one of the best digital collectable card games in the world for nearly 10 years now, and the game has kept up a steady release schedule for expansion packs over that time – committing to three a year from 2017 onwards.

As of writing this, the next Hearthstone expansion is called Showdown in the Badlands and it’s set to debut on November 14, 2023.
Showdown of the Badlands will be the 25th total expansion in Hearthstone, and the fourth one this year alone after Festival of Legends, TITANS, and Caverns of Time.
On top of the slew of new cards set to be added to the game, the expansion adds two new keywords for cards: Quickdraw and Excavate.
With Quickdraw, cards that are added to your hand get special effects on the same turn, while with Excavate, you can dig and find treasures to help you out.
It’s worth mentioning that Showdown in the Badlands is likely the final Hearthstone expansion of 2023, but with 2024 being the 10-year anniversary, we can expect some more expansions to shake up the foundation.
