Plenty of soon-to-be players are searching for the Persona 3 Reload’s release time, wanting to play the remake as soon as possible. As the release date for P3R’s getting ever closer, we can’t blame anyone for wanting to check exactly when Persona 3 Reload is coming out so they can get into the mystery of the Dark Hour.
What time does Persona 3 Reload come out?
On PS5/PS4 and PC (Steam), the release time of Persona 3 Reload is 5AM (GMT) on Friday, February 2, 2024 – as shown on the countdowns at the game’s PlayStation store page and Steam page; if planned for a simultaneous international release, this will translate to Thursday, February 1, at 9PM (PT) and Friday, February 2 at 5AM (ET) for the US.
On Xbox however, the time that Persona 3 Reload will unlock appears to differ slightly. Although no countdown is available on the game’s page on the Xbox website, going into selecting Persona 3 Reload’s store page an actual Series X|S console shows a release time of 12AM (GMT) on Friday, February 2, 2024.

Yes, you can pre-load Persona 3 Reload right now on PC and PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Even if you forget to do so before the game comes out though, Persona 3 Reload’s download file size isn’t that large, so you’ll soon be able to begin playing in no time.
The New Zealand time trick
Yes, the New Zealand trick does work in letting you play Persona 3 Reload early – according to reports on this Reddit thread – saying that changing your system’s location setting to New Zealand time will give you earlier access by at least a few hours depending on your actual timezone.
In a personal test on my Xbox Series X, the New Zealand trick sped up the release time for Persona 3 Reload to unlock by 13 hours from 12AM on Friday, February 2 (GMT) to 11AM on Thursday, February 1 (GMT).
Unfortunately, the trick doesn’t seem to work on PC, finding that the countdown on Steam remained the same after changing our location to New Zealand via VPN. So, this method is only effective for console players.
However, I’d only recommend doing this if you’re an Xbox player as the New Zealand trick for Persona 3 Reload will only work on PlayStation if you set up an entirely new account for that region. This means you’d have to start your whole trophy collection from scratch, it wouldn’t be worth the hassle in the grand scheme of a large JRPG like P3R just for the sake of a few hours of early access.
If you’re an Xbox player who wants to try the New Zealand trick for Persona 3 Reload, you just need to follow these easy steps:
- Go into the console’s “Settings” menu
- Select “System”
- Select “Language & location”
- Select “Location”
- Select “New Zealand”
- After your console restarts, the New Zealand time change will have taken effect
