In his NFL debut against the New York Giants in Week 1, he recorded 13 carries for 24 yards, leading the team to a 35-17 victory. Pollard recorded his first career 100+ yard game in Week 3 against the Miami Dolphins, finishing with 103 running yards on 13 runs and a touchdown as the Cowboys defeated them 31-6.
In addition to performing some kickoff return responsibilities, Pollard continued to serve as Ezekiel Elliott’s backup in the 2020 season. Pollard amassed 132 yards from scrimmage and two rushing touchdowns in Week 15’s 41-33 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
He participated in all one of the season’s 16 contests, two of which he started. Along with 28 receptions for 193 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown, he finished the game with 101 carries for 435 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.
In Week 2’s 20-17 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, Pollard accumulated 137 scrimmage yards. In Week 5’s 44-20 victory over the New York Giants, Pollard accumulated 103 yards from scrimmage.
Pollard scored a rushing touchdown in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams, covering 57 yards. In Week 8, the Packers defeated Chicago 49–29 thanks to Pollard’s 13 carries for 141 yards and three running touchdowns. He was voted Ground Player of the Week for his performance.
With 80 rushing yards, six receptions for 109 yards, and two touchdowns in a 40-3 victory over the Vikings in Week 10, Pollard was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
In the season-ending loss against the San Francisco 49ers in the 2022–23 NFC divisional playoff game, Pollard sustained a high ankle sprain and a fractured fibula.
