CODMAS is over, but it’s already time for another event in MW3! The first Call of Duty event of 2024 is titled Vortex, and it’s one you don’t want to miss.
Let’s review everything to look forward to in the game’s Vortex Event, including when it starts and ends, the Vortex Limited-Time Mode (LTM) and maps, and all the rewards!

The Vortex Event kicks off in Modern Warfare 3 on January 3, 2024, with this special event running for two weeks, concluding on January 17, 2024.

The highlight of the Vortex Event is the Vortex Limited-Time Mode. This LTM is a twist on Free-For-All.
In Vortex, you earn points by eliminating opposing players, and the first to reach the target number of kills is the victor. However, for the first time, Vortex allows players to wield the legendary Ray Gun from Zombies!
When the match begins, one player will be randomly assigned the Ray Gun. From there on out, anyone who defeats the player wielding the Ray Gun gets to use it for themselves. As you’d expect, the Ray Gun kills in a single shot, so be on the lookout for whoever’s got it equipped and try to steal it!
To make things even more interesting, the action takes place on three Vortex-themed maps. Rust, Quarry, and Scrapyard have been reimagined into Tetanus, Satan’s Quarry, and Sporeyard. These variants of classic Call of Duty maps are stunning and really add to the atmosphere of Vortex.

You can earn up to 15 exclusive goodies for playing Vortex in MW3. And you don’t have to complete any monotonous challenges, either! Simply playing Vortex and earning XP will net you the entire batch of rewards for free.
To speed up the process, you can purchase the brand-new War Horse Operator Skin from the Tracer Pack: Weapons of the Apocalypse: War’s Vengeance Bundle for a boost.
Complete the event and unlock everything to get the ultimate reward: the Magma Animated Camo.
