During the early hours of Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll come across an assortment of introductory quests that will have you making some seemingly serious choices – one of which includes deciding to tell the truth or lie when a guard is chasing a young urchin.
This urchin, who you’ll later find out is called Sven, needs your help whatever your vocation may be, so you need to decide whether to help him out of this particular pickle in the game or leave him to fend for himself.
Should you lie or tell the truth?
Essentially, it doesn’t matter whether you tell the truth or lie in this scenario, however, if you’re hoping to find out why the plucky young lad is running and hiding, I would advise you to lie to help the kid out.

By lying, the guard will be thrown off the scent, and Sven will thank you for your help. However, this won’t be the last you see of him. He’ll be getting up to more mischief in no time.
What happens after lying in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
After making this decision in Dragon’s Dogma 2 you’ll have started a somewhat lengthy and recurring side quest with Sven, The Ornate Box and you’ll be meeting him a few times throughout your time in Vernworth.

Eventually, he will ask you for money so he can make a purchase from a nearby store (1,000 Gold to be precise) which he promises to pay back in kind, something which your Pawns seem to recognise as a genuine promise.
