According to reports, Shinsadong Tiger was found dead at his Seoul studio on Friday, February 23, 2024. He was found lying on the floor by one of his acquaintances, who then called local emergency services and despite efforts, he never regained consciousness.

In a career spanning two decades, he has composed chartbusters such as Tiara’s ”Roly Poly”, 4Minute’s ”Hot Issue”, Apink’s ”No No No”, and Exid’s ”Up & Down”.
In 2010, Tiger was named the “New Generation Producer” at the 18th Korean Culture Entertainment Awards, and in 2011 he was named one of the most influential figures in the South Korean music industry by OSEN.
The same year (2011), he established his label AB Entertainment, which later debuted the girl group EXID.
In 2012, he released his new album, “Supermarket – Another Half” which was commercially successful and amassed an impressive number on streaming platforms.
In May 2014, Wellmade Yedang became the largest shareholder in Shinsadong Tiger’s entertainment agency, Cashmere Records.
In 2017, he suffered financial difficulties and filed for bankruptcy protection and debt relief measures with a local court, according to Yonhap news agency.
In 2018, Tiger worked on the music production of Idol Producer.[ He composed and arranged Momoland’s hit song “Bboom Bboom”
His death once again sheds light on the tragedies in the South Korean entertainment industry. His death marks the second of a popular South Korean celebrity in recent months.
In December, Lee Sun-kyun, a popular South Korean actor best known for his role in the Oscar-winning movie “Parasite,” was found dead in a car in Seoul, after undergoing weeks of an intense police investigation into his alleged drug use.
