Warzone Mobile currently has a release window of 2023, meaning the full version of the game is set to come out sometime this year.

However, we’re not sure exactly when the full game will launch this year. There’s not much time left in 2023 for the game to come out, so hopefully it still lands within the year and doesn’t have to be delayed.

Currently, players can pre-register for the game on both Google Play and the App Store, which will notify you when it goes live.

You can also begin playing the limited-release version of the game by scanning the QR code on the Warzone Mobile website. This isn’t available in all territories at the moment, but more are being added as the year goes on.

We don’t have any exact details on when in the year it will launch, but more and more locations are getting to try the early access version, so we expect Activision to be ramping up for an official launch in the coming months.

Warzone Mobile: Trailers

Warzone Mobile’s first trailer was an announcement teaser which aired on September 8, 2022, shortly before Call of Duty Next where the game was fully revealed. It was a brief look at the game that showcased the airplane that carries players into matches, before showing the title.

The next trailer came during Call of Duty Next, which aired on September 15, 2022. This was a much longer CGI trailer which showcased various Operators dropping into the map, before cutting to various scenes of combat, ranging from people parachuting in, to players on vehicles chasing each other.

The Call of Duty Next showcase also saw the official gameplay deep dive trailer, where they showed some real gameplay while also explaining the game and its various features. They highlighted some of the POIs that would be available in the game and features from Warzone 2.0 like contracts.

Warzone Mobile: Gameplay details

The Warzone Mobile gameplay is essentially the same as Call of Duty Warzone gameplay, just designed for mobile instead. It also features the classic Warzone map Verdansk as a playable map at launch.

For those who don’t know, Warzone Mobile is a battle royale game where 120 players face off during a match, with the winner being the player or team left alive at the end. At the start of the game, all the players will drop in from an airplane, allowing them to choose exactly where they land.

Once players land, they can begin looting and earning items like weapons, armour, equipment, killstreaks, and more. Gaining these is key, as the more powerful you are, the better your chance against all the other enemies.

As the game progresses, the map will be closed in as circles form that have deadly gas outside them. Over time this forces players together so they have to face off and players don’t just camp in their respective corners of the map.

A key feature of Warzone Mobile is cross-progression with Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 on consoles and PC. This means you can work through the battle pass on one version of the game, and earn rewards for all of them.

Warzone Mobile: Platforms

Warzone Mobile is releasing for both Apple and Android devices.

To play the game, Apple users will either need an iPhone 8 or better with 4 GB of RAM, while Android users will need an Adreno 618 or better with 6 GB of RAM.

We’re not sure if the game is coming to any more mobile platforms, but users of the two listed can rest assured that they’ll be able to play Warzone Mobile when it eventually launches. Hopefully it isn’t too long of a wait anymore.
