Social Media platforms said the suspects may have deleted their accounts from their platforms. The accounts could have been created using a false identity.
On the 18th of November, Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Minister for Communications, IT, and Elections, stated that all media platforms received notices telling them to take necessary action to identify and eliminate deepfake content.
Despite a request from The Delhi Police IFSO to Meta in November, the social media giant has responded stating its inability to provide details about the deleted account.
Even Zara Patel reacted to Rashmika’s fake viral video and said “I had no involvement in this controversy”.
