No Rest for the Wicked is an upcoming ARPG from Moon Studios, the developers of the Ori series, and is arriving on PC on April 18 – but Xbox and PlayStation players will be desperate to know when they can play the game.
According to the game’s Steam page, it’s set to reinvent the genre which is no doubt very exciting, if not a bit ambitious. This is certainly a departure from the challenging platformers the studio is known for, and as a fan of challenging action games, No Rest for the Wicked is a game I’m excited about.
Why is No Rest for the Wicked not launching on console?
No Rest for the Wicked is coming to PlayStation and Xbox consoles, but there’s currently no release date.
For now, the game is releasing on PC on April 18, but it’s only in early access. Games rarely release on console in early access, so it’s safe to assume console players will have to wait until the 1.0 version to play elsewhere and maybe even a bit longer.
The good news is, for now, you’re not missing much as the early access only includes the first chapter of the narrative with some side quests and a Crucible dungeon sprinkled in.
What’s missing from the early access version?

The full release will have a lot more content, not only including the complete narrative, but plenty of extra gameplay to enjoy. I’ve listed what’s been outlined for version 1.0 below:
- Multiplayer: 4 player co-op
- Multiplayer: PVP
- Expanded story content and chapters
- Additional map regions
- Farming
- More weapons, armour, rare items, and gear
- New enemies and bosses
- Additional Crucible Floors, Bounties and Challenges
Obviously, there is a chance this may change but hopefully, Moon Studios can deliver on the vision it laid out for the game.
