Who was Marie Carlson?

She also loved what she did for the legal system. In her own case, justice ultimately wasn’t delivered for much too long.
Marie, a 37-year-old mother of two, disappeared. When she was still Jeff Carlson’s wife, she gave birth to her first kid. She had a polygamous relationship with pastor James Flanders, who was also Tanya’s husband, and they had a newborn daughter together.
Marie was last seen by Flanders on October 17, 2011. Two days later, her family received a cryptic note informing them that she was leaving to chase her lifetime goal.

What happened to Marie Carlson
After going missing, Marie’s car was discovered at the local airport, but according to the detectives, she never left the area.

Flanders claimed to have left the house between six and seven in the evening on the day of the disappearance while his wife Tanya was out with the infant, but there was nobody to be discovered. He claimed that Marie had driven off with her car when the two returned.
But something wasn’t right, since Marie would never have left her young kid behind. Her belongings were still at home, and she had not taken any money out of her bank account.

Circuit Judge William Stone of Okaloosa County sentenced him to a maximum of 15 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter.
