According to reports, Fucci stabbed Tristyn Bailey 114 times in the woods near to his house causing her death instantly. This was after the family of Tristyn reported her missing before Mother’s Day.

Tristyn Bailey, a 13-year-old cheerleader of the Patriot Oaks Academy in St Johns County was found dead near the forested area in Saddlestone Drive a few hours after her family declared her missing on Mother’s Day.
Per the security footage available on social media, Fucci’s mother, Crystal Smith was seen scrubbing a pair of blue pants in the sink. The footage from inside their home also shows Fucci walking into together with Tristyn before he returned home alone.

Fucci’s trial was scheduled for late 2022 as stated my Judge Howard M. Maltz. However, one of the attorneys representing Fucci requested for more time before the trial, stating that he is working on another penalty case.
A Florida attorney by the name of R.J Larrizza stated that Fucci will be charged as an adult despite being just a teenager as he is being charged with first-degree murder. He also revealed that Fucci had informed his peers that he would be killing someone in the next 30 days, leading to claims that his gruesome action was planned.
The attorney also said that the accused had stated that he would take someone into the woods and stab them. Tristyn and Fucci were believed to have been hanging out with a few friends the night of the murder before they were being left alone.
However, the prosecutors stated that there is no evidence proving that Fucci targeted Tristyn in advance before the incident.
Fucci made his first appearance in court on October 28th, 2021. He has never appeared in court virtually in the previous proceedings.
In recent times, Fucci has pleaded guilty to the gruesome murder of Tristyn Bailey and also rendered a sincere apology to the bereaved family.
“I just want to say I plea guilty and I’m sorry for the Bailey family and my family,”
Fucci said in a brief statement to the court Monday.

Fucci was born to Crystal Smith. His mother is also being accused of tempering with the case’s evidence. This was after a footage showed her scrubbing a pair of jeans in the sink. The pair of jeans tested positive for blood and also blood was found in the drain of the sink.
