Launch Chrome With Keyboard Shortcut In Windows – Guiding Tech

Windows provides a smart way to launch any application via keyboard shortcut. You can assign a shortcut to launch any application by changing the property of the application shortcut. Let’s take the example of Google Chrome here. You can also use the same steps for other apps.

Here are the steps you must take.

1. Create a Google Chrome shortcut on your desktop by right clicking on the chrome icon and selecting “Send to”->Desktop.

2. Right click on the desktop shortcut and select “Properties”.

3. In the properties window, go to the “Shortcut” tab.

4. Now look at the Shortcuts section. You will see “No” written on the box next to it. Click the box with the mouse and press any alphabet key on the keyboard.

If you press the “A” key then “Ctrl+Alt+A” will appear in the box. Similarly if you press “B” then the keyboard shortcut “Ctrl+Alt+B” will be assigned. You can also press the caps lock key or the arrow key to assign a keyboard shortcut. Now press OK.

That’s it. Now press the specified keyboard shortcuts (“Ctrl+Alt+A” in the example above) and Google Chrome will open. No need to click on the Chrome icon and double click it to launch.

Similarly, you can assign keyboard shortcuts to any other program that you use frequently.
