Jon Jones Children: Meet Jon Jones’ Children

Jon Jones Children: Meet Jon Jones’ Children – Jonathan Dwight Jones, known as Jon Jones, was born on July 19, 1987, in the United States of America.

He is a professional mixed martial artist who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and is the current UFC Heavyweight Champion.

Jones has also held the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship twice, from March 2011 to April 2015 and from December 2018 to August 2020, and the interim UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in 2016. As of February 14, 2023, he is ranked #10 in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings.

Jones made UFC history when he became the youngest champion in UFC history at age 23, after defeating Maurício Rua. He holds many records in the light heavyweight division, including the most title defenses, most wins, and longest win streak. For much of his championship reign, Jones was widely considered to be the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. He has never been stopped nor outscored during his career, with his only professional loss being a controversial disqualification against Matt Hamill. However, both Hamill and UFC President Dana White dispute the result.

From 2015 to 2017, Jones was involved in several controversies that led to disciplinary action and the loss of his title three times. In 2015, he was stripped of his title and removed from the official rankings by the UFC after he was arrested on felony hit-and-run charges. Jones returned to the UFC in 2016 and 2017, winning title bouts against Ovince Saint Preux and Daniel Cormier, but his victories were short-lived. He tested positive for banned substances and received suspensions, with the latter reversed to a ‘no contest’. After his suspension was lifted in 2017, Jones reclaimed the championship in 2018 by defeating Alexander Gustafsson.

In 2020, Jones voluntarily vacated the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship amid a pay dispute with White and expressed his intent to move up to heavyweight. After more than three years off, Jones returned to the octagon in 2023 and won the UFC Heavyweight Championship by defeating Ciryl Gane. Despite his controversies, Jones remains one of the most talented and successful fighters in UFC history.

He was born into a family of four children. One of his older siblings, Arthur, played as a defensive lineman for several American football teams including the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, and Washington Redskins. His younger brother, Chandler, is also an athlete and currently serves as an outside linebacker for the Las Vegas Raiders. Unfortunately, Jon’s older sister, Carmen, passed away before she turned 18 due to a brain tumor.
