How to cheat toddler quirks in The Sims 4

Toddler quirks are essentially extra personality traits that can impact your toddler’s behaviour or response to certain household activities.

Each toddler can have up to three toddler quirks at one time, these can occur randomly through gameplay, or you can cheat and assign particular quirks to your toddler if you have The Sims 4 Growing Together expansion pack installed.

It is possible to have more than three quirks if you are using cheats, as long as these don’t conflict with one another.

To get more quirks via cheats:

  • Enable cheats in your game through the ‘testingcheats on’ command
  • Hold shift and click on your toddler (whilst on their sim profile)
  • Select the option ‘Pack Cheats…’
  • Click ‘Expansion Packs’
  • Click ‘Ep-13 Growing Together’
  • Select ‘Toddler Quirks’
  • Choose ‘Add Discoverable Quirk’
  • Select from the list, you can also remove Quirks through the previous menu if you have some already assigned to the toddler
  • You can now discover these quirks by triggering the associated gameplay, for example, if you chose ‘Hates Being Carried’ you can pick up your toddler to receive the quirk notification.

Can you cheat toddler milestones in The Sims 4?

Screenshot of toddler milestones in The Sims 4Click to enlarge

As per The Sims 4 Growing Together expansion pack we now have both infant milestones and toddler milestones in the game. As of writing, the only way to unlock milestones via cheats is through mods.

One such Milestone Cheat mod by Lumpinou on Patreon, allows players to swap and add milestones onto their Sim’s panel as they wish

Milestones essentially document important moments in your Sim’s life through their ages like first baths, first kisses, marriage, growing a family and more. This builds up a tab of memories for your Sim which they will occasionally think about and receive moodlets from.

If you’d like to build up a backstory for a character and fulfil these milestones early, you can do so through the Milestone Cheat by Lumpinou.
