Having to connect your iOS device to your computer every time to manage files can get tiring after a while. Sometimes it may become necessary if a software restore is required. However, for the frequent transfer and management of files such as photos, a better solution is almost necessary.

Airmore is a great solution to this problem and allows for many different file types to be managed.
Note: Due to restrictions placed by Apple on the iOS file system, the operations that can be performed with files are somewhat limited. Even so, Airmore still offers more convenience when compared to wired sync via iTunes
Setting
After downloading Airmore, point your computer browser to the Airmore web app.
You will be provided with a QR code that you will need to scan with your iOS device to make a connection. Now choose Scan to connect in the iOS app. Next, point your camera at the QR code on your computer screen and scan it.
Once the QR code has been scanned, you will be asked on your iOS device to confirm your connection request. Of course, you should click Agree and then you’ll be ready to manage your iOS files.

Airmore allows downloading and uploading of images and videos. These 2 file types provide the greatest degree of freedom in terms of options for managing files. They are free to upload and can be viewed in the Apple repository image application.
Music is more strictly restricted, and files synced with the default music player cannot be managed. This feature is only really useful when moving music files from your computer to your iOS device. Thankfully, it still has some value as files transferred to your device using this method can be played from within the Airmore app.
Regarding documents, the following file formats can be handled:
- Excel
- slideshow
- From
- TXT
- ZIP
Users can transfer these files from their computer to their device and view them. Thanks to iOS 9’s sharing feature, users can open these documents in another app of their choice that supports the format.
Other files can also be uploaded, but you will only be able to access and manipulate them from within the Airmore iOS app itself.
Conclusion
Despite the limitations imposed on the app due to the structure of iOS, overall the functionality that Airmore provides is quite welcome. After all, users are granted full access to photos and videos, which is especially important for someone like me who takes tons of screenshots while writing articles.
Airmore provides a convenient method for quickly retrieving those screenshots, and I especially like the ease with which I can connect to my iPad. I just scanned the barcode on the Airmore web app without having to worry about entering the password.
The developers of Airmore have done a great job of delivering features that they did while working within the limits of iOS, and they should be commended for this.
