At the end of October, WhatsApp launched stickers and created a buzz despite WhatsApp being late to the sticker party. Other chat apps like Telegram, Hike, Viber and others have had them for a long time. WhatsApp aims to give an uphill fight by adding features to stickers.
The app comes pre-installed with just seven sticker packs. However, you can create personalized stickers for WhatsApp. In addition to creating custom stickers, you can even import some stickers from other chat apps like Telegram.
In this post, we will tell you how to use Telegram stickers in WhatsApp for Android. To use Telegram stickers, you need to download it from Telegram first, then import into WhatsApp.
Here are the detailed steps.
1. Download Telegram Stickers
To download Telegram stickers, it consists of three main steps. You have to get the sticker pack link first, then download its ZIP file using the Sticker Downloader bot. Then you have to extract the ZIP file.
Get sticker pack link
Telegram allows you to download both individual stickers and full sticker packs. To download the entire sticker pack, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Telegram app and tap on the three bar icon in the top left corner. Then select Install.
Step 2: Scroll down in Settings and tap on Stickers and Masks.
Step 3: Tap the three dots icon next to the sticker pack you want to import into WhatsApp and select Copy link.
Note:
Open the Sticker Downloader Bot
Step 1: In the Telegram app, tap the search icon and look for StickerDownloadBot. Tap on it to start chatting with it.
Step 2: You will get a few options at the bottom including Settings. Click Install. The bot will send you a message asking you to choose an output format. Select webp only.
Two important things to mention here. First, most of you will get the Settings option at the bottom, but in case you don’t see it, just type Install and submit it to the bot. Then choose webp format.
Second, you must be wondering why we only choose webp. That’s because Telegram allows you to download stickers in any format. That is when you tell it to download a package, it will share the ZIP file for all formats like jpeg, png and webp. We just need the webp format for WhatsApp. Therefore, we choose that one.
Step 3: Now paste the sticker pack link you copied above into the StickerDownloadBot chat thread. You will get a message saying that the ZIP file will be available soon.
Step 4: Once you receive the file, tap on the ZIP file to download it. The file will download to the Telegram > Telegram Documents folder.
Note:
Extract the ZIP file
Now you need to extract the contents of the ZIP file. To do that, you can use a File Manager like Solid Explorer or ES Explorer that supports ZIP extraction. Alternatively, download the ZIP extractor app from the Play Store.
Once you have extracted the ZIP file, the sticker will be saved in Telegram > Telegram Document > Sticker Pack Name. You need to move this Sticker Packs folder to the main folder in your internal storage or put it in the Pictures folder on your device because the app that we will use to import it into WhatsApp does not recognize the message. this part.
2. Import stickers into WhatsApp
Step 1: Install Personal Stickers for WhatsApp on your device from the link below.
Step 2: Open the application, you will see the sticker pack folder here. Click Add next to it. You will get a pop-up asking you to confirm. Click Add.
Note:
Step 3: Open WhatsApp and go to Stickers. You will find the newly installed sticker pack here. The sticker pack will have a small bubble indicating this is a new pack.
Creative
