How to Turn Off Windows 10 Updates

Normally, for users who are not using the Enterprise edition of Windows, all updates will be downloaded and installed automatically, but if you set your active internet connection as a access, updates will not be downloaded.

To set your active network as a traffic connection, go to Windows Settings and click ‘Network & Internet’.

Now click ‘Properties’ of your active network connection and enable the ‘Set as metered connection’ button under ‘Measured connections’ on the new page.

This will do the trick. Now, until you are connected to a network marked as metered connection on your PC, Windows will not download any updates or install them.
