How to Download Shared Files on OneDrive for Web

Although OneDrive is natively available on Windows and Mac, Microsoft offers a feature-rich web version to access your files on every platform, including Linux and ChromeOS. Here’s how you can save shared files to your OneDrive account.

Step 1: Visit OneDrive on the web and log in with your Microsoft account details.

Step 2: Select the Shared menu from the left sidebar.

Step 3: Check the folder or file name, date shared, and original sender’s name.

Step 4: Click the radio button beside a folder or file and select ‘Copy to’ at the top.

Step 5: It opens a window with OneDrive ‘My Files’ menu. You can save shared media files directly to your photos library or a specific album.

Although OneDrive uses an identical interface on iPhone and Android, the steps are slightly different on Android to download shared files.

Step 1: Get OneDrive on Android. Log in with your Microsoft account details.

Step 3: Select a person’s name whose file you want to download or copy.
