Check WhatsApp Storage on iPhone
Before we explore the step-by-step guide to freeing up WhatsApp storage on iPhone, let’s first check how much space the app takes up.
Step 1: Open Settings on your iPhone.
Step 2: Scroll to General.
Step 3: Select iPhone Storage.

Manage WhatsApp storage on iPhone
WhatsApp allows you to check detailed memory analysis from the Settings menu inside the app itself. Here’s how you can use it.
Step 1: Launch WhatsApp on your iPhone.
Step 2: Go to Settings from the bottom right corner.
Step 3: Open the ‘Storage and Data’ menu.
Step 4: Select ‘Manage storage’.
Step 5: You can check the whole WhatsApp media analysis. It’s time to review and delete unnecessary items.
Step 6: Open the ‘Larger than 5 MB’ menu and check all the large WhatsApp files. Tap Select in the top right corner.
Step 7: You can review and select the large files manually or press Select All at the bottom.
