When you sign up for a subscription service in the App Store, your subscription will auto-renew nearly every time, which means you’ll be billed each billing cycle for the service regardless of whether you use it. the service or not. If you want to manage these subscriptions and preferences, such as auto-renewal, you can actually do this directly from your Apple TV.

Tip: You can even watch Apple TV subscriptions you’ve subscribed to on iOS or Mac as long as you’re already using your iTunes account.

Tip: If you have an iPhone or iPad Remote app, consider using it for this section. Typing with the Apple TV remote is extremely tedious, so you can also use the keyboard on your smartphone or tablet instead. If you don’t have the Apple Remote app, you can find it for free in the iOS App Store. It can also control iTunes on your computer.

Below that, you can see the renewal options. With Apple Music, for example, you can change your plan from a monthly personal plan to a monthly family plan, which adds $5 per month and extends to family members in your account. You can also choose Turn off auto-renew to automatically cancel your subscription at the end of the current billing period. If you cancel, the subscription remains visible in this section of Apple TV for you to renew at any time.
