We are going to talk about the Family Safety website that allows you to manage all your parental settings online. It allows you to manage accounts and change access levels and permissions on the go, without having to touch your local machine. However, only works for Windows 8, so Windows 7 users are out of luck here.

Follow the link to navigate to the Family Safety website. You will be asked to log in to your account. Sign in with the Microsoft username you associated with your Windows account (admin account).
When the web page opens, you can see the list of accounts/users associated with the given account. It will also indicate the parent account and the main account. Take a look at the image below. I have a parent account and a test account on the list.
If you want to change the settings for the account, click the Edit settings link located below said account. That will take you to a new page, from where you can access all the main sections for home settings.
As shown in the image above, you can enable or disable the features. To access and change the details or enable/disable a feature, click on the respective link.
You can control what websites the account can visit, how long the account can stay active, and what games and apps can be accessed. Besides, the activity report is a way to get a complete report or log of the user. And, request is a mechanism for the user to ask the administrator for some permission.
Look back at the home page. You’ll see three links at the bottom of the list of accounts. That’s where you can Add a new parent, Set a family member as a parent And Manage a list of family members.
