Some special weapons in Black Myth: Wukong require Refined Iron Sand to craft. While it’s an Epic tier material, you won’t come by often in the first few chapters, it does become more common as time goes on.
Still, you’ll want to know where exactly you can find it.
How to get Refined Iron Sand
Like most rare materials in Black Myth, there are typically three ways of acquiring Refined Iron Sand:
- Killing enemies or bosses
- Opening chests
- Purchasing it from a Shrine store
Firstly, it’s worth noting that the material becomes available throughout chapter three and onwards, which is when you start needing it for crafting.
However, it seems you get some from defeating Yellow Wind Sage at the end of the previous chapter as well.
It tends to drop on most of the bosses during this chapter, with ones such as Captain Lotus-Vision and Captain Wise-Voice from the Pagoda Realm dropping a few between them.
Chests in the Pagoda Realm also yield Refined Iron Sand. I found a few in the chests behind gates with the purple lock on them, which is removed after you defeat Captain Lotus-Vision.
It only appears that the chapter three Shrine stores hold the item. I found one for 1200 Will at the Mirrormere Shrine, which is the second you’ll come across during this part of the game.
