To find the Golden Pikmin Onion in Pikmin 4, you need to collect the Golden Pikmin in the Crackling Cauldron.

Then you need to destroy an electric fence, flatten a paper bag, bring the Golden Onion back to base.

Here’s how to do this (expanding screenshot above):

Tear down the wall and dig the entrance covered in dirt.
Go inside the Crackling Cauldron in the Sun-Sspeckled Terrace and collect the golden Pikmin.
Go outside the Crackling Cauldron and destroy the electric fence with the golden Pikmin.
Go to the location of the Yellow Onion and flatten the paper bag by throwing 10 Pikmin.
Bring the Golden Onion back to base.

Now, you can plant more Golden Pikmin.
