Instagram has released a new feature called Reels, which works a lot like TikTok. You can scroll through the endless Stories feed, discovering more content similar to something you’ve liked or saved. Before long, you’ll have a long list of funny, weird, or helpful videos saved somewhere in the app. How do you find these saved and liked Instagram Stories when you need them? There is a subtle difference between the two as well.
The ‘like’ feature works just like on Facebook, where you can like something if you like it. Show appreciation for the work the creator has done. Saving is when you save a Story for later use or viewing without the creator knowing about it. Instagram makes it difficult to find saved and liked Instagram Stories. You can use both or build on what you need from the Story in question.
Let’s get started.
Find liked/saved Instagram scrolls on the web
Step 1: Open Instagram in your favorite browser and log in with your Facebook login or credentials. Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner of the screen to select the Saved option.
That’s where you’ll find all of your Saved Stories and other images you may have saved as well. There is no way to access or store them separately in the web application.
There is also no way to access Liked Stories in the browser. Instagram is designed with mobile in mind, and most features are available on smartphones. That’s where people use Instagram the most.
Find Liked/Saved Instagram Scrolls on Android
Instagram is so much better when you use it on a smartphone.
Step 1: Tap your profile icon at the bottom of the screen and select the hamburger menu icon in the top right corner. You will see a few options. Select Saved here.
Step 2: You will find your saved Instagram scrolls here. Notice the ‘+’ symbol at the top? You can use it to create a new folder containing all the reels you have saved by category.
Note that by default, the reels are saved in the All Posts folder, where you’ll also find other saved images and videos. So create a folder to clearly distinguish between scrolls and other saved posts.
Here are the steps to find liked Instagram scrolls.
Step 1: Tap the menu icon below the Profile tab and select Settings this time.
Step 2: Click on Account.
Step 3: Tap the Post you’ve liked now.
That’s where you’ll find all your favorite reels.
You’ll also find all the other posts, pictures, and videos you’ve liked. There is no way to create a folder and save your likes separately. That’s the purpose of the saved feature.
Find Liked/Saved Instagram Reels on iOS
The steps of the iOS platform to find liked and saved Instagram Stories are more or less the same. Here they are.
Step 1: Click the Profile tab in the lower right corner of the screen and select the menu icon. You will notice a bunch of options. Tap Saved.
Step 2: You will now see all the saved reels along with pictures and other posts in the All Posts folder.
Creating a new folder for selecting and storing film reels is easy. Just tap the ‘+’ icon to start the process. You can name the folders as you continue.
What about scrolling Instagram likes?
Step 1: Tap the menu icon under the Profile tab and select Settings in the subsequent pop-up window.
Step 2: Tap on Account and then on Posts you’ve liked now.
You’ll find all of your liked Instagram scrolls here along with all the other posts you’ve liked as well. Again, there is no way to create folders or filter them separately. So you’ll have to take the trouble to scroll and flip through the ones you might not like.
Instant Satisfaction
People want everything at once, whether it’s food, wealth, or entertainment. The same goes for popularity and platforms like TikTok, and now Reels will fill the void. Whether Reels can repeat TikTok’s success remains unknown. The recent bans faced by TikTok may help this case, but it’s still too early.
The Stories feature is not conveniently located, and finding saved and liked stories isn’t easy or intuitive. I hope future updates will fix the problem. However, Reels is part of Instagram and doesn’t have its own app, which just complicates the interface.
For now, you’ll have to view your collection in Settings, which takes a few more clicks. Let us know what you think in the comments section below. If you have any doubts, or find a workaround for it, feel free to share it.
