Step 1: Press the Windows key on your keyboard. Then, type Settings and click Open.

Note: Alternatively, press ‘Windows key + I’ on your keyboard to quickly open Windows Settings.

This step isn’t as straightforward as the previous one but is simple to follow and execute. However, because we will be using the Registry Editor, we suggest backing up the Windows Registry before proceeding with the steps below to ensure you don’t lose your data if things go south. 

Step 1: Press the Windows key on your keyboard, type Registry Editor, and click ‘Run as administrator.’

Note: If you want to gray out the clipboard syncing option from Settings completely, set the Value Data field to 0.

You can go with the Group Policy editor if you don’t want to enable or allow clipboard synchronization across devices from the registry.

3. How to Allow Clipboard Syncing Using Group Policy Editor

The Local Group Policy Editor helps you control Windows. Thus, you can also use it to allow clipboard syncing. Here’s how to turn off Task Manager for specific users in Windows.

Note: Group Policy Editor is only available for Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise versions. You can skip this method if you are on Windows 11 Home Edition.
