How to Easily Download Facebook Videos On Android – Guiding Tech

During my usual aimless Facebook browsing session the other day, I came across a hilarious video that almost made me laugh. Now, this isn’t the first such shared video I’ve seen on Facebook. I come across a lot of these now and then. However, this particular video got me thinking about downloading and saving it for offline viewing on my Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

I will admit that I am not a download junkie. I don’t like downloading such short video clips because they pile up and take up space sooner than you expect. But every now and then, there are certain videos that you feel must have on your mobile device, such as your Android tablet or mobile phone, to share offline with your friends in a chat. group.

So downloading Facebook videos on Android.. should be an easy job, right? Well, it definitely wasn’t when I started trying out some apps that claimed to do it perfectly. I finally found one that works and has a clean interface, without any clutter. It is not without flaws and I will point them out later in the article. But it certainly gets the job done perfectly.

Let’s see how to download Facebook videos on your Android phone or tablet in the easiest way possible.

Steps to download Facebook videos to your Android

Step 1: Download and install the Facebook Video Free application.

Step 2: Go to the Facebook app and tap on the video you intend to download. You will see the app in the action menu.

You will select the red icon that says Free Facebook Videos and then I recommend you choose Only once.

If you choose Always in the menu above, every time you tap on a video on Facebook, it will immediately start downloading it and won’t show you the option to choose a video player to play it. You probably don’t need this unless you want to download the video directly and then watch it.

In case you chose Always confused and want to go back Only onceyou can do it clear default by going to the app’s settings in Application management.

Step 3: Now you can change the name of the file and choose the location where you want to save the file. This is a funny thing, though, and I don’t know if it’s like this or just on my device that it doesn’t work – it just lets you save it in the default ‘Movies’ folder. I can’t select any other folder and have to argue with whatever location it chooses for me.

Step 4: Once you press OK, it will start downloading, you can get a glimpse at the top.

It’s about the app and how it works. Simple and easy, but not without its problems.

uncomfortable

1. As I mentioned in Step 3, it doesn’t allow me to change the download location. Also, when I move the Movies folder to some other location and then try to download the video using the app, it doesn’t work.

2. When you click OK to start the download, it will redirect you to the ‘Instructions’ page, which is completely unnecessary. You must press the back button to return to Facebook, which is an unnecessary extra step.

3. It doesn’t show the ‘download complete’ message and relies solely on its icon in the notification drawer to show the progress and completion of the download. Some people might argue that the symbol is a sufficient sign, but if you ask me, a message should have been there.

I’m curious to know if all of the above annoyances with the app are common or if it just happens on my device. Try it out and post a comment here so other readers can benefit from it.

Conclusion

Overall my pet is different, the app is simple and gets the job done. All I wanted was to instantly download a Facebook video and this helped me get it done. However, the Facebook videos I’ve downloaded through this app so far are all publicly shared, and I’m not entirely sure if it can download videos that come with sharing. share restrictions easily or not. Try it out and let us know in the comments, okay?
