Steps to Disable Ads on uTorrent
First of all, launch the uTorrent client on your machine. Then follow the steps below:
Step 1: Navigate to Options -> Options. The direct shortcut for the same is Ctrl + P.
Step 2: On Interest window, on the left pane, click High level select. Don’t expand it, just click High level.
Step 3: Now you have to find the ad options. inside Filter provide the textbox type. That will filter out the necessary options.
Take note of the last two options. Here is what they mean:-
- left_rail_offer: This option, if true, allows flashing ads on the left rail of the uTorrent client.
- sponsored_torrent_offer: This option is the control to show offers at the top of the main view. Keep it true/false accordingly.
Step 4: To disable ads, double-click each option and change their value to false. Click Alright.
Step 5: Exit and close the uTorrent client. Please take the time to synchronize the preferences set.
When you reopen the client, you won’t see ads. That’s it!
