Microsoft took OneDrive really seriously with Windows 10. It’s now a default app and works right after installing Windows 10. There’s in-depth integration and beyond just syncing files between computers. and online drive, it also integrates with other Windows 10 apps to give users a seamless experience.
Cortana can now extend your search for personal stuff to OneDrive along with the files you’ve saved on your personal drive. Office users can choose to work on a file with multiple users at the same time. One thing I personally like is the ability to create shareable links of files you’ve saved on OneDrive directly from the explorer’s right-click context menu.

There’s no doubt that Windows has made significant improvements to OneDrive. However, it sets the Microsoft account online as the default account along with the storage on C:\. What if you want to change the default account for a business or corporate account, or want to change the default sync location of OneDrive files? Well, there is an easy solution for that.
Change OneDrive account and save location
Step 1: Now to Change file location and associated OneDrive account go to OneDrive icon in System Tray and right click on it to open Setting.
Step 2: When the settings page opens, click on the option Unlink OneDrive. As soon as you click the option you will get Welcome to OneDrive screen with a button to start. Now, before you go ahead and reconfigure the settings, it would be a good option to migrate the content of the previously synced OneDrive.
Step 3: Moving synced folders will ensure you save your bandwidth on previously synced files. Open File Explorer and navigate to the OneDrive folder (usually located in C:\Users\) and select it. Now, click Home page tab in the ribbon and click Move to. You will be asked to choose a folder location where you need to save your OneDrive files in the future.
Note: If you’re going to change your OneDrive account, you might just want to delete the contents of the folders and start from scratch.
Step 4: Finally, double click on the OneDrive icon in the system tray and it will ask you to configure a new account. Configure OneDrive with the new account and change the sync location in the next screen.
That’s it, you can now work on OneDrive with another Microsoft Account.
