Get Contact Specific Pop Up Notes During Calls in Android

Taking notes is often an integral part of our lives. Be it sticky paper or a note-taking app. We rely on them to remind us of important details at the right time. Now we all know about most famous note taking apps like Evernote and Google Keep which fulfill almost all of our needs when it comes to writing and maintaining notes.

However, last week, I stumbled across another note-taking app on the Play Store that made me realize that even the best apps aren’t perfect. FloatNote is a floating note-taking app for Android, but the difference is that it activates itself when someone calls you. Notes are there to remind you of anything important that you need to discuss with that particular contact.

For example, I often come up with little things to share with my parents, but tend to forget them when I actually talk to them. With FloatNote, you can add notes as it comes to your mind, and it will automatically pop up the next time you make a call and remind you of what you need to say.

FloatNote for Android

After installing FloatNote, you can start keeping notes for specific contacts already saved in your contacts, or simply enter numbers from the call log.

The app follows the Material Design layout and navigation quite smoothly. In the free version, you can maintain up to 5 different notes with a character limit of 30 per note. The pop-up notes will appear automatically when you are calling any number and it will stay on the screen during that time as well as for a moment after the call. This way, you can take notes directly after or during a call.

If you don’t want these floating notes to appear all the time, you can choose specific contacts to which the note is reserved. In the settings, you can also adjust how long the note will close after a call, which cannot exceed 5 seconds, unless set to never. To manually close a floating note, simply hold and drag the note to the close button on the screen, just like Facebook’s floating chat header.

Now to the pricing part; the free version, as I mentioned, has a limit of 5 notes. There are many ways you can get up to 8 free notes by referring and rating. To get additional notes with reduced limits, there are packages that you can purchase with an in-app purchase.

Cool Tip: You can use this app to remind yourself of those phone numbers from marketing companies that keep calling you. This way you can skip them directly.

Conclusion

That’s all about the FloatNote app and how you can use it to remind yourself of what’s important while on a call. There are many situations where you might find this app useful. So give it a try and let us know some ideas that come to mind. We would love to hear your input!
