No Rest for the Wicked trailer

Currently, the only trailer for the game is the official reveal trailer, which debuted at TGA 2023. It showcased a mix of cinematics and gameplay, primarily establishing the tone and feel of the game.

No Rest for the Wicked gameplay

No Rest for the Wicked is described as a precision action role-playing game with mature themes and the signature Moon Studios painterly aesthetic. The game is set on a vast island called Isola Sacra, and will feature “unmatched” verticality for the genre.

Gameplay is presented from a birds-eye-view perspective with hack ‘n’ slash-type combat – although the devs have claimed it’s an innovative take on traditional ARPG gameplay. A press release describes it as “pushing the envelope on the art of combat”, with “animation-driven, direct, and tactile” fighting mechanics.

The trailer highlighted what looked like multiple different playable characters or fighting styles, with one character using a sword and shield, another a huge axe, and even fire magic.
