Fantastic news has just arrived as EURO 2024 has been officially announced as an event in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team – and there’s even a free player that you can claim for your squad.
Much like the World Cup takeover in FIFA 23, the EUROs present a unique opportunity to celebrate one of the biggest international tournaments with exciting promos and special cards. Everything we know about EA FC 24 EURO 2024
While still a fair way away, EURO 2024 has been confirmed to arrive in EA FC 24, FC Mobile, and FC Online in the summer of 2024 – perfectly coinciding with the tournament’s packed schedule.
If it is anything like the World Cup, events will probably start a few weeks ahead of the first match, and continue throughout the tournament until a winner is crowned.
In wonderful news, the EURO 2024 update will be completely free to all existing players, meaning that you’ll be able to jump straight in and enjoy all of the action for no extra cost.

How to get free EURO 2024 player in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team

All you need to do to get the free player is play EA FC 24 by January 16, 2024. It is a little unclear at the moment when the cards will be given to players, but it could be as early as December 18, and given as soon as you log in to Ultimate Team.
There are only six eligible players that you can receive, so check out the list below for the full selection:
- Jack Grealish (England/Manchester City)
- Ousmane Dembélé (France/PSG)
- Federico Chiesa (Italy/Juventus)
- Florian Wirtz (Germany/Bayer Leverkusen)
- Virgil van Dijk (Netherlands/Liverpool)
- Alvaro Morata (Spain/Atletico Madrid)
As a Liverpool fan, I would love to get the Van Dijk card (despite owning two separate versions already), and it would be wonderful to see these special editions receive a boost too.
Players like Dembélé and Wirtz will definitely be popular though, so there will be many players hoping that they pop up and can build their squads around that.
EA FC 24 EURO 2024 predicted features
We currently don’t know too much about what will be included within the event itself as it is so far away, but we can make some confident predictions based on how EA has handled similar tournaments.
It is likely that we see several promos, including various live cards that you can track throughout the tournament like Road to the Knockouts. Furthermore, we will definitely see Showdown SBCs for big games, alongside MOTM cards and hopefully a Team of the Tournament squad for all of the best-performing players.
I would also love it if we got lots of themed Evolutions that revolve around the EUROs in some form, where you submit players from certain nations and level them up alongside their fellow national team squad members.
