Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan is a politician and businessman from the United Arab Emirates, with a $30 billion net worth. Sheikh Mansour was born in the Trucial States in November 1970. He is the UAE’s deputy prime minister, with the full name Mansour bin Zayed bin Sultan bin Zayed bin Khalifa Al Nahyan.
Sheikh Mansour is also the minister of presidential affairs and a member of Abu Dhabi’s royal dynasty; his half-brother, Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is the president of the United Arab Emirates. Sheikh Mansour also chairs the Ministerial Council for Services, the Emirates Racing Authority, and the Emirates Investment Authority.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has faced widespread criticism as a result of human rights violations in the UAE. He and his club have been accused of sportswashing.
The UEFA study, which was completed in 2020 but never published, states that £30 million was paid to Manchester City F.C. by an anonymous person in the United Arab Emirates and that the financing originated from Manchester City’s owners, the Abu Dhabi United Group (ADUG), which is owned by Mansour.
Sheikh Mansour’s role as Manchester City’s owner was called into question after the lawyers of a Ukrainian activist, Rhys Davies of Temple Garden Chambers and Ben Keith of 5 St Andrew’s Hill Chambers, wrote a letter to UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly requesting an investigation into whether Mansour assisted Russian oligarchs in moving their assets to the UAE and evading sanctions.
The lawyers urged the UK government to investigate Sheikh Mansour’s actions if he might be liable to UK financial sanctions. If Sheikh Mansour is identified as the involved person, he will be disqualified as Manchester City’s owner under the Premier League’s new guidelines on the owners’ and directors’ test.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Mansour was named Chairman of the Ministerial Council for Services (formerly the Ministerial Development Council). He has served as the chair of the National Center for Documentation and Research since 2000.
In the 2004 reshuffle, he was appointed minister for presidential affairs.[18] In 2005, he was appointed deputy chairman of the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), as well as chairman of the Emirates Foundation, the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, and the Abu Dhabi Development Fund. He became chief of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department in 2006. In 2007, he was appointed chairman of the Khalifa bin Zayed Charity Foundation.
Mansour was the chairman of First Gulf Bank until 2006 and a member of the board of trustees of the Zayed Benevolent and Humanitarian Foundation. Mansour has set up scholarship programs for UAE youngsters to study abroad. He is also the chairman of the Emirates Horse Racing Authority (EHRA).
On May 11, 2009, he was appointed deputy prime minister, while retaining his cabinet position as minister of presidential affairs. On March 29, 2023, with the approval of the UAE Federal Supreme Council, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan issued a resolution appointing Mansour as the country’s second vice president, to serve alongside Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s vice president and prime minister, and ruler of Dubai.
