The fourth season of Diablo 4 is well over halfway finished at this point, meaning Season 5 is on the horizon with all the new content you’d expect and the Vessel of Hatred expansion, which is set to release a month after it begins.

When does Season 5 start?
Based on the end date of the current season, we know that Season 5 will begin on August 6, 2024 at the standard daily reset time of 6 pm BST.
So far, all of the Diablo 4 seasons have lasted three months, which makes it easier to know when the next one will begin. However, due to the Vessel of Hatred expansion launching on October 8, we know that Season 5 will last just two months.
What do we know about Season 5?

We don’t currently know much about the next season, aside from that it will feature a roguelike mode called Infernal Hordes and a new questline. A Reddit user also claimed it will be called Season of the Infernal Hordes after seeing a banner appear in the PTR client.
However, based on the shorter runtime, I’d expect it to be a smaller season content-wise, with the deficit of new stuff to do being made up by the Vessel of Hatred expansion’s launch.
At the same time, two months is plenty of time to complete much of the seasonal content on offer, so we’ll have to wait and see once more is revealed from Blizzard and the season actually drops.
