If you’re not stuck in the Stone Age, you probably already know about the great power called Android and its incredibly rich customization options. Just last week, we talked about how one can set a GIF as a wallpaper, and a week before that we discussed various customization options that can raise the Android bar a little higher. Well, today we are on a similar task and we are going to focus on transforming Android’s Navigation bar and giving it a whole new look.
The navigation bar can be quite boring at times. Unlike other aspects like icon packs, widgets or wallpapers, the navigation bar has less colorful features. But all is not lost, the Play Store is full of new apps and the Navigation Bar app is one of them.
So without further ado, let’s see what the Navbar app has under its hood.

The Navigation Bar app allows you to customize the navigation bar on your Android home screen to your liking. It creates a screen overlay on the bottom of the screen that definitely gives a unique and colorful look.
And what’s more, it doesn’t need any root access. I think that’s more than enough when an app does so much without the price tag.
1. Go Chameleon
Perhaps the highlight of the app is that it changes the color of the navigation bar according to the active app running. Open Zomato and you will find a Red navigation bar, while Facebook shows a Blue navigation bar.
However, for it to work, the navigation bar setting must be enabled. And if one doesn’t like the color of the chameleon, one can choose a static color. But that would be boring if you ask me.
Additionally, you can also add your own custom colors to any individual app. All you need to do is tap the cog icon above the Active Apps icon.
2. Battery marker
And if a colorful background isn’t reason enough, the Navigation Bar widget will give you the perfect excuse to get this app. Not only does it allow you to navigate between different pages and apps, but it also serves as a marker for battery percentage. The screenshots below are more than enough to confirm my statement is true.
You can change the pin settings — size, color, and transparency — according to your choice.
3. Add images
Moving on, Navigation Bar App allows you to add images below the navigation bar. From a simple vertical rainbow to a cherry rainbow — there are so many different images available.
The premium version has even more cool themes like Spider-Man or
Pokemon
. Furthermore, the app provides an opportunity for users to meet and contribute to designs and ideas.

4. Add a smile
How about adding some emojis on your navigation bar? To make seeing emojis bring a smile to your face, developer Damian Piwowarski even provided the option to add emojis to the navigation bar. There are four emojis that you can choose from by default.
The good news is that you can choose a smiling face or a cute animal face from a multitude of emojis. Everything from the spacing between emojis or the size of emojis can be customized to your choice.
5. Add a music bar
Coming to the last part, now the music widget. This feature allows you to have music images in the navigation bar. And guess what, you can choose the style, color, and size of the bars.
What are you waiting for? Go ahead and get a colorful insight into your smartphone. What I like most about this app is that all five features can be enabled at the same time. Although it can narrow the navigation bar a bit, it helps to give the navigation bar a unique look. So say goodbye to the boring navigation bar and give it a cool transition.
