What really happened to Corey Parker?

Corey Parker who lived in an apartment in Jacksonville in the United States of America worked as a waitress. She was a lively beautiful lady who related well with those around her. A night before Thanksgiving in 1998, she spent time with her buddies at her usual spot. Her killer had sneaked into her apartment to wait for her. At a time Corey was asleep, Robert stabbed her over a hundred times according to autopsy reports. His immense affection for her as a crush, became unhealthy, resulting in being a peeping Tom on her and eventually assassinating her due to unhealthy obsession. The waitress was found dead in a pool of blood by a coworker and the case was reported to the police.  Upon investigations at the scene, a strand of hair belonging to another person was found as well as a stain of blood not that of Corey. All attempts to find the suspect through tracing the evidence with the DNA of the victim’s close friends became futile for nearly two years. Eventually, they got a prime suspect, Robert Denney, after the police had announced a $200,000 reward to anyone who would help find the killer. He was a young neighbor of the deceased, 17 years at that time. He had behaved in a weird manner since the death of the young lady and had made it known to his friends he has a crush on Corey. The investigators had a hard time getting a sample of Robert’s DNA since he was cautious with everything he did so as not to be suspected. Eventually, he made the mistake of spitting one day at work thereby his saliva being gotten and used as a DNA sample. The samples matched the evidence gotten at the deceased’s apartment leading to his arrest. He was charged with first-degree murder and sentenced to life imprisonment.
