CJ Perry and Miro of AEW, who both have prior WWE appearances under their belts, have broken up, per a statement initially made public by TMZ.
According to reports, AEW stars Miro and CJ Perry ended their seven-year marriage amicably at the end of 2023.
After getting married in 2016, the couple has been married for seven years, however, their relationship has reportedly been rocky at times.
CJ Perry and Miro Relationship
CJ Perry and Miro are in the same line of work; their careers in wrestling brought them together. They met frequently during events because they were both WWE performers. They were friends first, and later they began to go for car drives together. However, when they felt a magnet joining them, their friendship developed into love.
Miro previously said in an interview that he had a particular connection with Perry. After the couple began promoting themselves and were spotted together on film, dating rumors about them began to circulate in 2015.
Soon after, breakup rumors also began to surface. All speculation and tales came to an end on July 29, 2016, the day the pair got married legally. Following a joyful seven years of marriage, the pair declared their separation.
CJ Perry and Miro Split Up
It is unknown what specifically led CJ Perry and Miro to form a pair. After being together for more than seven years, they called it quits on their marriage. According to TMZ, they formally broke up in the winter of 2023, despite the fact that Miro had posted on social media about seeing Perry in the hospital when she became critically ill and nearly lost her arm.
Representatives for Perry confirmed to TMZ that she and Miro are indeed divorcing. Perry, a former WWE employee, also posted a brief statement regarding it. “Miro and I have decided to break up after spending many wonderful years together,” the woman stated. We’re going to make an effort to remain friends and perhaps collaborate in the future, even on television.”
The process of filing for divorce has not yet been initiated by the couple. However, Miro returned to his native Bulgaria after their breakup. Since the match in which he defeated Andrade El Idolo and Perry joined up with him, he has not been seen in AEW.
Since Miro has been absent for some time, we are unsure of what will happen to him in AEW going forward. However, Miro might still be able to collaborate with AEW in the future because the organization has other wrestlers that are international in nature but still attend the events.
Professional Life of CJ Perry
American CJ Perry is an actress, manager, and wrestler in the world of professional wrestling. She presently wrestles for All Elite Wrestling, where her ring name is CJ. Her most famous period was spent under the name Lana with WWE from 2013 until 2021.
Perry made her WWE debut and began training at the NXT branch public in June 2013. In the NXT episode from October 23, 2013, she made her debut as “Lana,” scouting Alexander Rusev.
On Raw’s April 25, 2016, edition, Lana resumed her role as Rusev’s manager. When both of them were selected to appear on Raw following the July 19th, 2016 WWE draft, she persisted in her support of him. August 1 was her first appearance on Raw, as she made her debut alongside Rusev.

He is the sole wrestler from Bulgaria to have served as an employee of the WWE. Barnyashev began competing for Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) after joining the WWE in 2010. Subsequently, FCW became NXT, the training ground of WWE.
Before being promoted to WWE’s main events in 2014, he competed as a wrestler on NXT under the management of Lana. Three times, he took home the WWE United States Championship. He was fired by WWE in April 2020, and in September of the same year, he began working as Miro for AEW.
Early Life of CJ Perry
On March 24, 1985, CJ Perry was born in Gainesville, Florida. She has Venezuelan and Portuguese ancestry and is the eldest of four siblings. Her family relocated to Latvia when she was a little child, where her dad was employed as a missionary.
They remained there even after Latvia gained independence in 1991. Perry attended the Riga Choreography School and began dancing with the Latvian National Ballet at the age of 14 because she wanted to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a ballet dancer.
Perry returned to the United States at the age of 17. She was a dancer with the Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance, Ballet Hispanico, Broadway Dance Center, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City.
She later enrolled at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, to pursue acting and dance studies. She began attending football games with pals while attending FSU, dressed up as cowgirls to support the team. After being noticed by announcer Brent Musburger during an ABC game in September 2005, they were dubbed the FSU Cowgirls.
Perry exploited the attention she received as an FSU Cowgirl to launch her modeling career. She became a spokesperson for energy drinks like Matrix and Red Bull and participated in a number of picture assignments, including one for the RIDGID Tool Calendar. There, he began training in wrestling under the tutelage of Gangrel and Rikishi at the Knokx Pro Wrestling Academy.
On November 22, 2008, he engaged in his first-ever wrestling match against New Wave Pro Wrestling, a tiny wrestling organization, in San Diego, California. He defeated Aerial Star under the alias Miroslav Makaraov.
Then, in 2010, he signed up with Vendetta Pro Wrestling (VPW), a Santa Maria, California-based wrestling organization. There, he dropped the “Miroslav” from his name. Additionally, he was coached by Markus Mac, a manager, while he competed for VPW.
