Ciryl Gane children-French professional mixed martial artist, Ciryl Jacky Gane was born on April 12, 1990, in La Roche-sur-Yon, France.
Gane was born to Romain Gane and Maryse Gane. He shares the same parents as his elder brother, David Gane.
Gane participated in basketball and football as a child. Gane chose to work in sales at a furniture company and enrolled in a work-study program in Paris despite his athletic potential. During this period, Gane was introduced to Muay Thai by a former classmate.

At Muay Thai Spirit 5, Gane was slated to defend his AFMT championship against Jonathan Gengoul. He prevailed by first-round knockout.
Gane defeated Bangaly Keita at Warriors Night via third-round knockout. At Duel 2, he was then supposed to take on multiple WBC Muaythai champion Yassine Boughanem. Gane prevailed through a unanimous decision.
Ciryl Gane made his professional MMA debut in 2018 under the guidance of Fernand Lopez. His first match was against Bobby Sullivan for the vacant TKO heavyweight championship after signing a contract with the Canadian MMA organization TKO. He used a front choke to win the title bout in the opening frame.
A month later, he faced Adam Dyczka to defend his heavyweight title. He TKO’d Dyczka in the second round. He defeated Roggers Souza in the first round by a TKO in his third bout, which served as his second championship defense.

On January 22, 2022, at UFC 270, Gane and Francis Ngannou squared off for the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
After the first two rounds, Gane had the advantage, but Ngannou turned to wrestling and kept him under control for most of rounds three through five. It was his first defeat in a martial arts tournament when he was defeated by a unanimous decision.
On September 3, 2022, Gane and Tai Tuivasa squared off at UFC Fight Night 209. In the third round, he was knocked out to win the bout. He won the Fight of the Night prize for this battle.
On March 4, 2023, at UFC 285, Gane and Jon Jones squared off for the vacant UFC Heavyweight Championship. In the opening round, he was defeated via guillotine choke submission.
On September 2, 2023, at UFC Fight Night 226 Gane fought Sergey Spivak. In the second round, he defeated his opponent by TKO. Gane received his third Performance of the Night bonus prize thanks to the triumph.
