Bigidagoe was 26 years old when he died in February 2024. The Dutch drill rapper was born on Tuesday, June 10, 1997. In addition to his hip-hop career, he was frequently associated with crime. His criminal record went back to the age of 12 when he was convicted of a street robbery.
On Sunday, February 25, 2024, Bigidagoe was shot at a party center on the Rhoneweg in the Westpoort business park in Amsterdam. He was rushed to hospital with multiple gun wounds where he died.
According to several online reports, the Dutch rapper was trying to flee when the Volkswagen Polo he was in was gunned down in a suspected gang hit. The shooting happened near Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, a major transport hub.
This was not the first attempt on Bigidagoe’s life. The musician survived a shooting on Vechtstraat in the Rivierenbuurt in August 2020. He showed off his injuries in a music video filmed in a hospital.
Silos, a solo artist and member of hip-hop band Zone 6, was on trial at the time of his death. He and seven others were accused of kidnapping rival rapper, Kobus L in Amsterdam Zuidoost in September 2022.
The group is accused of allegedly beating up their archrival, threatening him with guns, and warning him they would cut off his fingers. Kobus L managed to escape and reported the gang to the police.
In December 2023, the Public Prosecution Service demanded a four-year prison sentence against Bigidagoe for his possible involvement in the kidnapping
According to Parool, members of Zone 6 have been linked with serious crimes multiple times in the past years. Several key players in the rap formation are linked to drug trafficking and members have also been involved in violent incidents.
Born in 1997, Bigidagoe’s rap career began in 2014 when he released his debut single “Bodem”. In 1998, he appeared at a Zonamo Underground Spit session accompanying the Amsterdam rapper Sepa.
Bigidagoe’s breakthrough came in 2018 when he performed in a 101Barz session with the rap formation Zone6. This rap formation, labeled as criminal by authorities, included JoeyAK. The bond between the two rappers was close and Bigidagoe was considered JoeyAK’s right-hand man.
