Best Assault Rifle weapon mods in Fortnite

While these are generally the best weapons mods for Assault Rifles, there are exceptions. Since there are three different ARs in the game right now, some weapon mods are better suited for certain Assault Rifles than others.
Feel free to swap Underbarrels depending on which Assault Rifle you’re using and whether you prefer to battle up close or from afar. For example, the Striker AR benefits greatly from the Laser Underbarrel, but the other two Assault Rifles should be equipped with the Vertical Foregrip.

Concerning your Underbarrel and Barrel, the Laser and Muzzle Brake are the clear-cut choices. The Laser increases hip-fire accuracy, and the Muzzle Brake reduces recoil. The other options, like a Suppressor, just don’t fit a Shotgun.

The best weapon mods for SMGs are roughly the same as the best weapon mods for Shotguns.
Both these types of weapons excel in close-quarters engagements, which is where the Red Eye Sight Optic and Laser Underbarrel shine the brightest. And your only options for Barrels are a Suppressor or Muzzle Brake, and there’s no reason to suppress your gunfire when you’re going to be up close and personal, anyway.
However, perhaps the most important weapon mod for SMGs is the Drum Mag. SMGs consume ammo extremely quickly, so the increased magazine size is a necessity.

Sniper Rifles are as potent as ever in Chapter 5 – Season 1, and the addition of weapon mods is a huge part of that.
Sure, you can get away with using a Red Eye Sight or a P2X Optic on a Sniper Rifle, but the Sniper Optic will allow you to engage enemies from exceptionally far away, and if they don’t have a Sniper Optic, too, they’ll have a difficult time fighting back.
The Angled Foregrip and Suppressor Barrel go a long way in boosting the performance of Sniper Rifles. The Angled Foregrip allows the user to aim-down-sight faster while the Suppressor will muffle the sound of your bullets, letting you fire off more shots before the opponent can determine your whereabouts.
