Getting a Victory Royale takes plenty of practice and skill in Fortnite, no doubt, but brushing up on the best landing spots is an easy way to boost your chances of making it to those final circle moments.
With the return of the beloved OG map from Chapter 1, Fortnite fans have got a completely different Island to discover (or rediscover) this season. That also means you’re going to need to rethink where you drop at the start of every match.
Best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season OG
Two of the best landing spots in Fortnite for pure loot are Paradise Palms and Tilted Towers, as these popular returning locations have loads of Chests, floor loot, and Ammo Boxes to search through.
It’s not all about Chests and weapons, though, so we’ve gone into more detail about five of the best POIs you can drop into on the OG Fortnite map right now below.
1. Paradise Palms

In terms of pure loot, Paradise Palms is one of the best places to drop this season. There are 25 Chests found in the main residential area, with tonnes more to discover as you explore the surrounding desert – as well as plenty of floor loot and ammo boxes to top up your loadout if you’re not completely happy with it.
Once you’re done scouting the area, jump in an ATK or head for one of the nearby Rift Portals to make a quick getaway. Winning aside, there’s also a fun race track here which is a nice distraction when you want a break from hunting down your opponents, and its desert theme helps it stand out from the rest of the map.
2. Tilted Towers

Ah, Tilted Towers. How could we have a ‘best landing spots’ guide without you? This is easily the most popular Fortnite location of all time, and while it’s returned in various forms throughout the years – like Salty Towers in Chapter 2 – the original version is finally back in its classic form to please OG fans.
One of the reasons Tilted Towers has remained so beloved is because of how simple it is. It’s a small POI with office-style buildings that rise up into the sky, giving ample opportunities to get the high ground over your enemies. It’s also got the biggest selection of Chests in a small area, so your loadout will be sparkling.
3. Loot Lake

One of the largest locations this season is Loot Lake, another fan-favourite that’s returned to the map. It’s made up of several small islands alongside buildings that surround the water, all of which are connected with ziplines. The best plan of action is to land on the larger island, open Chests, and then head to the outer areas.
While it might be peaceful at the moment, Loot Lake is set to experience some big changes throughout Chapter 4 Season OG, so keep an eye out for some strange goings on – and expect it to get a lot more popular, too.
4. Pleasant Park

If you’re looking to get straight into the action, make Pleasant Park your primary landing spot this season. Just like in the OG days, this residential area remains a chaotic location for early-game shootouts, largely because of its flat, open layout that provides plenty of opportunities for sniping opponents.
Admittedly, it’s not the best location for Chests and floor loot, but that only adds to the tension as you charge through houses trying to find a decent weapon before your enemies do. It should go without saying that if you prefer a quiet start to prepare for the match ahead, then Pleasant Park is best avoided.
5. Retail Row

Another popular residential area on the OG Fortnite map is Retail Row, which is perfect if you’re looking for a hefty dose of nostalgia that isn’t quite as intense as Pleasant Park. I’m a little biased as this was always my favourite landing spot in the old Fortnite seasons, but I know I’m not the only one who loves it.
There are plenty of Chests and Ammo Boxes hidden throughout the stores here, so you’ll be able to get a decent loadout to set yourself up nicely for the fights to come. Being this season’s premier shopping location means there are loads of Shopping Carts to ride around in, too. What’s Fortnite without a little silliness?
