The arrival of Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer marks the addition of weekly challenges, which allow players to unlock aftermarket parts, weapon camos, and more upon completion.
Thankfully, these quests are not limited to the multiplayer mode only, meaning you can hop into the Zombies game mode as well to finish them. Below, we’ll go over all the challenges available during Modern Warfare 3 Season 0 Week 1.
All Modern Warfare 3 weekly challenges (Week 1)

Click to enlargeThe first set introduces seven weekly challenges that test your skills with different Modern Warfare 3 weapons and gameplay modes. As previously noted, you can complete these challenges to unlock unique rewards, such as camos, calling cards, and aftermarket parts.
Here are the challenges for Week 1 and the XP rewards you’ll get for finishing them:
Multiplayer
- Kill 5 operators who killed you, with a recommended weapon – 2500 XP
- Get 20 operator kills with a silenced recommended assault rifle – 5000 XP
- Get 10 operator sliding kills with a recommended weapon – 7500 XP
- Get 1 operator triple kill with a recommended weapon – 10,000 XP
- Get 20 operator kills with the MCW – 5000 XP
- Get 15 operator kills with sights equipped to a recommended assault rifle – 5000 XP
- Get 15 operator headshot kills with the MCW – 7500 XP
Zombies
- Get 250 kills with a recommended weapon – 2500 XP
- Get 100 kills with a silenced recommended assault rifle – 5000 XP
- Get 30 kills with PHD Flopper explosions – 7500 XP
- Get 200 kills in the Medium or High Threat Zone – 10,000 XP
- Get 100 kills with the MCW – 5000 XP
- Get 150 scoped kills with a recommended assault rifle – 5000 XP
- Get 150 Critical Kills with the MCW – 7500 XP
Please note: The recommended weapon is indicated by a fire icon in the weapon loadout section.
How to unlock Golden River camo in Modern Warfare 3

The Golden River camo is a seasonal reward in Modern Warfare 3 that requires you to complete four weekly challenges in both multiplayer and Zombie modes.
Apart from this, you can finish any five challenges from Week 1 to unlock the JAK Raven Kit aftermarket part. This kit enhances the weapon’s hipfire, mobility, handling, and fire rate at the cost of a reduction in recoil, range, and damage rate.
