Keep Screen On is a pretty simple app. You download it, install it, and there is an option to keep the screen on. There is no way to set the time. If you have a phone with a physical qwerty keyboard, you can also choose to turn on the keyboard backlight.
Backlight Manager, available as a separate app, offers some new and exciting options. Timeout has a longer duration to choose from (up to 60 minutes). 2. Wake up
Wakey is a simple and useful application that will keep your screen active when you are using all the whitelisted apps. That gives you more control when you choose which apps deserve your attention.
The free version of the app is limited, ad-supported, and will let you set a timer to keep the screen on. It works just like the system settings. You’ll need the $0.99 upgrade to remove ads, wake the phone with FaceWake, and whitelisted apps. The FaceWake feature will keep the screen on as long as the camera can detect your face. Cool. There is also support for Tasker, but this app will not work with Xiaomi phones.
3. Survive
Stay Alive is another app that keeps your phone screen on and doesn’t look like an app. After granting the necessary permissions, you will have to access the settings from the notification area. Once in, you can choose which apps you want the screen to stay on.
There are some extra options such as allowing the screen to dim before it turns off, whether to enable the display on the desk and car base, and the color themes that don’t really help anyone but still a neat addition. The pro version will cost you $1.99 and it unlocks the app selection feature.
4. Keep the screen always on
The moment you launch the app, the first thing you will see is a list of all the apps installed on your smartphone. Just select the ones you want to keep the screen on and you’re good to go.
There is a handy menu with some interesting options. You can choose to disable this feature for all apps with a single button press. There’s also an option to hide system apps so you can only see apps that you’ve installed manually from the Play Store or elsewhere.
