4K Stogram is a computer program that automatically downloads entire Instagram profiles and saves them on your hard drive for offline access to photos and videos. Keep Instagram Backups with 4K Stogram
4K Stogram is one of the easiest and most intuitive applications you will ever come across to download Instagram photos to your computer. All that’s needed is to open the app, then in the search bar at the top, enter your Instagram username, hashtag or location — thanks to geotagging — and click on it. Ordered.
The app will take what you’re looking for and immediately start downloading that photo collection in the background. In fact, it’s a bit hard to tell at first that it’s even downloading. After all, 4K Stogram is more than just a large download window, it also has an interface where you can navigate to view photos. If you hover over a post, you’ll get that post’s caption with additional options like the ability to see the original on Instagram.
I didn’t even know that the pictures were being downloaded until I clicked on one and it opened as a file on my computer. Sure, the photo is saved in the app’s default location. You can change this to whatever you like by going to the app’s settings – a bit more on that. Each collection based on your search is stored in its own folder.
You can also do multiple search queries at the same time and they will all start downloading simultaneously. Yes, video is also included because the number of “unwatched” files also shows up in the progress indicator.
Folders won’t update directly with new photos or videos, so every time you want to sync everything back, just open the app again. Any new posts will automatically save to their specified folders.
One obvious drawback of 4K Stogram is that it is quite power-hungry. With all the downloads happening in the background, your computer is sure to quickly start making a bit of noise when the fan starts up at high speed. It slows down my MacBook Air significantly when running. So exercise caution especially if you have an older computer and limit yourself to only downloading/backing up one or two accounts at a time.

4K Stogram also allows you to download photos and videos from a private account, but you will need to log in to your own account and verify that you are following the private account you want to access. You can’t download photos of any private account without prior approval, but that’s not surprising.
To do this, go to the app’s settings/preferences in the menu bar and sign in with your credentials. This is where you’ll also find the ability to browse for a new download location to change it from the default location.

4K Stogram is free… mostly. I didn’t face any barriers to using it except for the banner ads at the bottom, but if you want to upgrade to get unlimited photo downloads, unlimited personal account access and multiple accounts, license is $9.99 for up to three computers.
The threshold should be pretty high though, as I had no problem downloading multiple photos and was able to do so from multiple accounts. Either way, that option is there if you need it.
