Will Al Mazrah be removed in Warzone? Map Pool explained

A lot of players are wondering whether Al Mazrah will be removed from Warzone now Urzikstan is set to release in December with Season 1.

The brand-new location will feature MW3’s movement, a fresh take on the Gulag, and even horizontal ziplines for fast rotations.

While all of this is exciting, it does call into question the future of Al Mazrah and whether it will be scrapped from Warzone completely.

So, let’s check what’s happening to Al Mazrah and whether it will be in the Warzone map pool after Season 1.

No, Al Mazrah won’t be removed from Warzone completely as it will still be available to play in the DMZ game mode.

However, following the Season 1 update scheduled for December, Al Mazrah will no longer be in the Warzone Battle Royale map pool.

This major update will introduce the Urzikstan map, which will take over as the primary location for BR after MW3’s integration.

Warzone map pool after MW3 intergration

As showcased by CharlieINTEL, the Warzone 2 map pool following the MW3 integration in December will be Urzikstan, Ashika Island, and Vondel.

In my opinion, the disappearance of Al Mazrah from Battle Royale is a shame, as it would have been nice to have it in the rotation occasionally.

However, the map being accessible through DMZ gives it a purpose and the community is more than ready for a fresh BR experience.

If you’re planning on jumping in Modern Warfare 3, it’s worth checking out the full MW3 weapon list, as they’ll be getting added to Warzone as well.
