The Nutty Professor (1996), Con Air (1997), You’ve Got Mail (1998), Blue Streak (1999), Undercover Brother (2002), Dave Chappelle’s Block Party (2005), Chi-Raq (2015), and A Star Is Born(2018) are just a few of the movies Chappelle has appeared in. He co-wrote the 1998 comedy film Half Baked, which included his debut leading performance. Additionally, Chappelle acted in the ABC comedy series Buddies (1996). He agreed to a $20 million per release comedy special deal with Netflix in 2016, and as part of that agreement, he delivered six stand-up specials.

These accolades includes the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, three Grammy Awards, and six Emmy Awards. In recognition of his appearance on Saturday Night Live as a guest, Chappelle won his first Emmy in 2017. He won a Grammy in 2018 for his comedy album The Age of Spin & Deep in the Heart of Texas, which was produced by Netflix. Personal Life
In 2001, Chappelle wed Elaine Mendoza Erfe. Sanaa is the only daughter of the pair; Sulayman and Ibrahim are their boys. Near Yellow Springs, Ohio, on a 65-acre (26-hectare) farm, they reside. In Xenia, Ohio, Chappelle also owned a number of homes. He informed the citizens of Yellow Springs in September 2006. In 2005, Dave Chappelle stated in an interview with Time Magazine that he had converted to Islam in 1991.
