Manuel Aristides Ramrez Onelcida (Manny Ramirez) is a 50-year-old retired professional baseball outfielder who was born in the Dominican Republic on May 30, 1972. For a portion of 19 seasons, he was a Major League Baseball (MLB) player. Before spending a season in Taiwan’s Chinese Professional Baseball League, he played for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, and Tampa Bay Rays.
Manny Ramirez was one of 28 players to hit 500 home runs in a career and was a nine-time Silver Slugger winner. His 29 playoff home runs are the most in MLB history, and his 21 grand slams rank third all-time. Manny Ramirez also participated in the 12 All-Star Games, including a run of eleven straight contests starting in 1998 and spanning his entire time with the Red Sox.

In 2001, Manny Ramirez got married to Juliana Monterio, a Brazilian hostess. Manny Ramirez has three sons (Lucas, Manuelito, and Manny Ramirez Jr.). He had Lucas Ramirez (born in February 2006) and Manuelito “Manny” Ramirez (born in 2003) with his wife Juliana and Manny Ramirez, Jr. (born in 1995) from a previous relationship. He and his family have been living in Weston, Florida, as of August 2015. His son, Manny Ramirez Jr., is currently a player with the New Britain Bees of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball as of May 2018.
Despite his abnormal personality, Manny Ramirez has developed a reputation as a hard worker when it comes to his hitting. His extended batting practice and tee sessions were well known, and he was also known for often watching videos of his swings and the pitches of opposing pitchers. But when he was in the batter’s box during a game, he kept his approach very straightforward, relying on his training-induced muscle memory and pitch identification.
