Kruger reportedly died on Monday, October 2, 2023, at age 39 after he was shot multiple times in his home in the South Philadelphia neighborhood of Po int Breeze
The journalist and activist is said to have been shot seven times in his chest and abdomen at his home in the South Philadelphia neighborhood of Point Breeze.
After the shooting, he left home in search of help but collapsed on the street where he was found and rushed to the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center but was pronounced dead a few minutes later.

In the update of events, Philadelphia police have named a suspect in the murder of the journalist and activist who was shot and killed inside his own home.
Kruger is said to have been shot seven times in the chest and abdomen early Monday. The suspect has been identified as 19-year-old Robert Edmond Davis.
Robert has been declared wanted for murder and related offenses. Police say he’s still at large and is considered to be armed and dangerous.
