Ruffo rose to fame by participating in his country’s edition of The X Factor in 2011. He was the last contestant eliminated in the competition and subsequently signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia.
The following year (2012), he won the country’s edition of Dancing With the Stars. Ruffo became a household name following his role in the soap; “Home and Away” which aired from 2013 to 2016.
After shooting to stardom for his role as Chris Harrington on “Home and Away”, he appeared in the TV miniseries; “House of Bond” in 2017.
Ruffo put his career on hold after his diagnosis in 2017. After two years of treatment, he entered remission, but his cancer returned in 2020. He wrote on Instagram in November 2020.
