Brittany came under the spotlight after she won the 11th season of the “America’s Next Top Model” reality TV show.
Brittany had a promising career in sports, but after she suffered from an injury, she decided to compete at the Elite Model Look modelling event, actually winning the competition which resulted in her signing her first contract, and launching her career as a model.
On 3 September 2008, she competed in the “America’s Next Top Model” Cycle 11 reality TV show – as there were two other girls named Brittany, our Brittany changed her name to ‘McKey’. During the show, Brittany was always amongst the first five models (out of 13 in total) who were safe to pass to the next round, and she eventually won the competition.
The reward was to appear on the cover page of the “Seventeen Magazine” while she also got to sign with CoverGirl cosmetics and Elite Model Management. While the show was still on, during the go-see challenge, all the four designers who met Brittany chose her to wear their clothes, however, as she returned to the agency later than it was agreed, she lost the chance to be the model of any of these designers.
After gaining fame, she appeared on the pages of the “In Touch Weekly” celebrity gossip magazine, and then on the cover page of the “Forest & Bluff Magazine” in January 2009, and in the “Nylon” magazine just two months later.
She has since worked as a model for multiple worldwide-known brands such as Mercedes Benz and G-Star, and has walked numerous catwalks at events such as Trinidad and Tobago’s Fashion Week in 2009, and Amsterdam International Fashion Week.
