Where to use the Lost Key in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

If you’ve been down to The Depths to meet Scrapper in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you may be wondering how to use the Lost Key that he sells.

The Lost Crown gives you tonnes of locations to explore across Mount Qaf, and many of them are filled with secrets, allowing you to grab collectibles like Spirited Sand Jars and take part in quests like The Architect.

One unexplained item in the game is the Lost Key, and despite a reference to the citadel elevator in the item’s text description, it’s not entirely clear where to use it. Read on below for a full explanation.

Where to use the Lost Key in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

After purchasing the Lost Key from Scrapper in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you need to make your way to the citadel elevator to use it.

The quickest way is to start from Scrapper’s shop, so exit out of the room first. From here, drop down to the left, continue onwards then drop down again before turning around and heading right. The entire route is highlighted in the picture above.

You’ll quickly come to a vertical room with some conveyor belts on the walls. Make your way up to the top of here and go through the door on the left to gain access to the elevator.

Now, you don’t strictly need to use the Lost Key once you have it, but if you interact with the elevator after purchasing the key, it will automatically let you access a new floor between the Lower City and The Depths.

If you follow the path to the right on this floor, you’ll come to a chest with the Gleaming Lion amulet, which is one of the best amulets in the game.

Once you gain the double jump ability, you can also jump up to the pole above this chest and complete a trap room to pick up the Lilac skin for Sargon.

The key never actually leaves your inventory, and it’s never made clear that you’ve used it when accessing this floor from the elevator, but that’s all you need to know about the Lost Key.
